With some of my friends getting engaged recently, I have some upcoming bridal showers and bachelorette parties to go to!
Below are some gifts for the bride, all under $30:
Henri Bendel Mini Ring Box ($24): This ring box is adorable from Henri Bendel and it’s the perfect place for your friend to store her ring. It comes in an array of colors to choose from and I love the little bow on top. It’s also on sale for 50%!
Lush Bath Bombs ($4.95 – $8.95): Create a spa gift basket for your friends with these awesome bath bombs. Just purchase a basket from the dollar store and fill it up with some bath bombs for your friend to use to de-stress from wedding planning.
Victoria’s Secret Cotton Panties (5/$27.50): What’s a bachelorette party without buying fun lingerie for the bride? You don’t have to spend a lot and can get cute & sexy designs like the one above from Victoria’s Secret. I love the allover lace collection as it’s flirty and comfortable.
Bridal Hanger($5): This is always a fun gift to personalize with the bride’s future last name. This Etsy shop sells them for $5, but you can always do a search and see other styles/designs.
It’s officially the Christmas Season! I’ve been listening to Christmas Music non-stop since Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite time of year because I love trying to find the perfect gift for everyone at a great bargain!
Here’s my gift guide for The Homebody in your life:
The Dreamers Flannel Pajamas: $39.50 – I love curling up in bed with a pair of comfy pajamas. This collection from Victoria Secret is a nice light flannel that comes in an array of prints. Use code “MOSTLOVED” online for a free sleep tank. You can also go in store to, but the pajamas unfortunately aren’t on sale for that same price.
Netflix: $7.99 a month, Gift them a subscription of Netflix, to binge watch all of their favorite shows or introduced them to new ones!
Draper James Coaster Set: $35 – I’m a sucker for coasters. I have a bunch all over the place in my living room. I love that these cute coasters have fun sayings. To maximize this gift even more, split up the coasters and add a bottle of your favorite wine or sparkling drink. Just wrap it all together in a cellophane bag or tissue paper, and you have an instant hostess/thank you gift!
Garett Cozy Throw: $29 – I love how soft this throw is. It’s fun to wrap yourself up in it while watching a movie on the couch. or adding it on to your bed as an extra layer of warmth.
I’m a huge fan of plaid, and I love that stores start to carry more items with the check print during the holiday season.
Here are a few of my favorite things with this fun print under $50:
Buffalo Check Salad Plates: $49.50 for a set of four: Add these salad plates to your next dinner for more color on the table. I love that the print reminds me of my favorite plaid shirt. You can either dress up a table or keep it casual with this plate.
Garett Printed Cozy Throw: $27: This throw is so soft that I just want to stay in bed with it. I currently have mine on my bed, but you can throw it over a couch or keep it in your car. It’s perfect as a gift for white elephant.
Adam Lippes for Target Bar Set: $15 : I believe it’s sold out online, but I found my set at my local Target. If you’re looking for bar tools or needs a great hostess gift, this works perfectly, just add a bottle of your favorite liquor or drink mixer. The tools all have a pretty good weight to it too, and the carrier allows the tools to be easy to transport.
The Dreamer Flannel Pajamas: $39.50: After watching New Girl, I fell on the Pajamas bandwagon. I purchase some from Victoria Secret and I love how comfy they are. Now is the best time of year to purchase them, as they’re usually on sale and you can usually receive free gifts with purchase or secret rewards.
I know it’s probably late, but here’s my favorite items from the Lilly for Target Collaboration. I was lucky enough to get some items at my Target, but by the time it was 8:15, almost everything was gone. It’s a shame that some people are just buying the products for profit. I hope in the future, Target puts a limit on items from collaborations.
Here are some of my favorite things I was able to get, both through Target and trading groups:
Espresso Mugs: These mugs were on my must have list, so I was so happy when I was actually able to get them at the store. They were only $30, and adorable. I love the prints and inside each one is a cute quote. I do wish they made a mug in the Upstream print, as it’s my favorite.
Upstream Shift: I wasn’t able to get this shift in my size, when I online ordered, but through some trading, I eventually got it. It’s surprisingly very well made and super cute. I love the fish print, and I bought other items with this same print. The shift retailed for $38.
Pineapple Serving Bowl: I can’t wait to use this bowl. It’s awesome for chip and dip.I like that it’s an unusual shaped serve bowl to use.
Crochet Tank Top: This top is so well made. I couldn’t find my size, so the one I have is a little large me. I was able to shrink it by a little. It’s comfortable to wear, and can be worn both dressy and casual.
Were you able to score anything from the collaboration? I keep finding returns at my Target, so be sure to check them out!
After viewing so many on different blogs and Pinterest, I decided I wanted to build a gallery wall. I haven’t decided which wall I want to use, but I’ve already decided on some of the images. All prints will be framed using the Wood Gallery Frames from Pottery Barn in Black.
Here are some of the Five Artists/Prints I plan to frame on my wall:
Inslee: I stumbled across Inslee’s prints while browsing for Fashion Illustrators. I love the watercolors she did of Lela Rose’s Spring 15 collection. Each print was so beautiful, and I had to have each one. It’s also nice that she personally signs each print. If you feel like splurging, you can also purchase an original.
History in High Heels Preppy Printshop on Etsy: I love this shop. So many of the prints are of clever words with stylish backgrounds. I did the package of 4 for $40, which is an awesome deal. I also purchased extra prints to put in frames to give as gifts. This one pictured below is my favorite, as it’s the story of my life!
Anum Tariq Fashion Illustrations on Etsy: She’s so talented! I want every single one of her fashion illustrations in rotation. I love that she does an array of designers and even celebs. I also like her “gold” works, which are pretty cool. She adds glitter and signs each picture before sending it out. My favorite is the modern day Holly Golightly.
Taylor Swift by Peter Max: After seeing Peter Max’s paintings on the cruise, I really liked his style. Normally, I’m not a fan of contemporary art, but I liked the colors and paint strokes. When I saw he did paintings of Taylor Swift’s albums, I knew I had to have one. I hope to get all 4 so I can do a cool wall with them.
Megan Hess Illustration: Megan Hess is amazing. She does collaborations with all of the major fashion houses including Chanel, Versace, Tiffany & Co., though her prints are on the pricey side, but I hope to own one. My favorite is of the Tiffany’s box, as it’s one of my favorite movies!
Do you have a gallery wall? If so, send me some inspiration of your layout and what you frame. As you can see, a majority of mine are all fashion related.
I can’t believe it’s already March, but that means the RODEO is finally here in town. I can’t wait to dust off my boots!
Batman Stamps: I was ordering some stamps for work, and I stumbled upon these. They’re fun to use and I’m sure it’ll bring a smile to your recipient’s face when they see Batman on it! They’re also the same price as regular stamps, so why buy boring ones when you can get quirky ones.
Framebridge: I’m glad Facebook had this as a “suggested” site for me. I can now finally find affordable custom framing. Prices start at $39 , but it goes up to $169 for an extra large frame. The price includes shipping, framing, matting, and printing a picture if requested. Also, they do Instagram prints, and do adorable ones with Heart Shaped mats, called Heartstagrams.
Austrian Crystal Earrings: Sally’s Beauty Supply sells the pretty Austrian Crystal earrings for less than $7. There are a bunch of different desgin, and each one is made with Austrian crystals. I love that they’re hypo-allergenic, and so far I haven’t had any reaction to them as I normally do if earrings aren’t sterling silver.
Gelly Roll Pens: I forgot how much fun it was to use Gel Pens. I’ve decided to pickup scrap-booking again, and I realized I need some pens to doodle with. The best way to purchase is these is at your local Hobby Lobby or Michael’s with a 40% off coupon. These pens can get expensive, so why not use a coupon if you can .
Taylor Swift & Peter Max “Red” Poster: After I went to my first Art Auction on a Cruise, I love the paint style of Peter Max. After researching more about him, I found that he did some paintings of Taylor Swift’s album cover. I picked the RED one as it was my favorite album. I wanted the one with all 4 albums, but it was sold out. I bought these during the “13 Days of Taylor” so it was 40% off. I’m hoping they go on sale again this year, so I can get all of them.
As you can probably tell, I love to shop. The items on this list are my top 4 favorite purchases from 2014. These items exceeded my expectations and I continue to use them over and over again!
Fitbit Zip:I first bought this just to track my steps for my half-marathon in Feb. I ended up using it for the whole year to ensure I met my 10,000 step goal each day. I love that my Fitbit tracks my steps, let’s me set goals, etc… Plus, with it, I started to be a little bit more active in order to reach my daily goal, such as taking the stairs instead of elevators.
Lucky Magazine subscription: I only initially subscribed to the magazine because it was such a good deal. I ended up enjoying one of perks of the magazine – My Lucky Rewards. It’s an awesome cash back program that lets you earn cash back no matter your form of payment. I love it, and have so far earned over $100 in cash back from it. I plan to renew my subscription just so I can continue to use My Lucky Rewards.
Ciao Under Seat Rolling Bag: I planned a trip to using Spirit Airlines this past year, so I was trying to find a bag that would fit under Spirit’s personal items guidelines. I stumbled upon this bag at Costco, and it worked perfectly. It’s super spacious with tons of pockets to use. This bag is going to be my new carry-on, plus it was only $30!
Pottery Barn Faux Sheepskin Throw: I love this throw. It’s so warm and soft. I use it everywhere! It’s either over my couch or on my bed as an extra layer of warmth. I wish they had a travel size version of this throw! It’s even machine washable which is a win in my book!
Best thing about all 4 of these items: I got them on sale!
POPSUGAR and Neiman Marcus have teamed up again for a Must Have Box! Last year’s box was a huge success, and it sold out in less than a day. I was iffy on the box, as it does retail for $250 for a mystery box, and the only spoiler was for a chevron throw. Though the items were nice, it didn’t really interest me as much. When spoilers were released for this box, many people seem to hate it. I actually like it a lot, and I think its better than last year’s box. Many of the items in this year’s box seem to be more useful compared to what was included last year.
The box retails for $250 and you can either purchase it at Neiman Marcus or Popsugar. In my opinion, purchase it from Neiman Marcus. If you sign-up for their email list, you’ll be emailed a coupon for 10% off, so the box goes down to $225. Until Wed, Nov 12, you can use code NOV50 and save an additional $50, so the box goes down to $200. Also, you can earn additional cash back, up to 10%, which will save you even more money! Last, this box is included in their Love to Give Collection, and 10% of the proceeds goes to a local charity!
If you need holiday gifts, this box might be the way to go. You can get 8 luxurious items for $250. If you split it up, each item only retails for $31.25 which is a great bargain for luxury goods.
Here’s what’s in the box:
Clare Vivier Clutch ($220): This is a pretty clutch. Her clutches are made out of gorgeous leather. I have a clutch similar to this, and I love sticking it in a big bag that I can just grab and go. This clutch is perfect for the fashion maven in your life.
Missoni Candle ($88): I love Missoni! When Missoni did their collaboration with Target, I was obsessed. I don’t really like candles because I don’t burn them, but you can melt the wax and re-purpose the jar . This is perfect for a housewarming gift. No one can resist a candle.
Monica Rich Kosann Frame ($100): The frame in the spoiler is a cream color. It’s a pretty frame. If you have a friend that’s recently engaged or you’re going to a wedding, this is a perfect gift! Or you can gift it to your parents with a recent family photo.
Swing Design Mia Box ($40):This glass box is pretty unique. I love that it’s a hexagonal shape instead of something more traditional. You can use it to store trinkets or jewelry. Gift it to your friend obsessed with jewelry.
MarieBelle Hot Chocolate ($19): A blend of chocolate to add to food or make hot chocolate with. Gift it to the foodie in your life.
Lancer: The Method Nourish ($125): I heard good reviews about this moisturizer. With colder days coming ahead, you’ll need an amazing moisturizer to cope with dry skin. This will be perfect to give to the beauty junkie in your life.
Chantecaille Supreme Cils Mascara and Brilliant Gloss ($85): I’m not really familiar with this brand, but it seems to get rave reviews. The lip gloss is a pretty pink color, and who can ever resist mascara. This will be perfect for a Bride to Be, as the colors make a beautiful natural bridal look or any make-up junkies you may know.
Total Value: $677 for $250!
Will you get the box? I think by splitting it up, you can give out wonderful luxurious gifts for this holiday season, all under $35!
I’ve recently picked up some new bedsheets from Nordstrom during their anniversary sale. I currently use sheets from Pottery Barn’s PB Essential 300-Thread Count sheets, which I love, but I decided to try these out due to the price.
What It Is: 400 Cotton Sateen Thread Count Bed Sheets which includes a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and two pillow cases.
Verdict: At first touch, these sheets felt smooth and soft. These aren’t as soft as the Egyptian cotton sheets that I have, but the sales associate told me that with each wash, the sheets get softer. I do love the color! It’s a beautiful gray, and the pillow cases and flat sheet has a cute eyelet pattern on it. If you’re a fan of Egyptian Cotton, these sheets might not be for you, but if you’re in need of some new ones, I recommend grabbing a set before the prices go back up on August 4th.
Last week, I finally received my Popsugar Must Have Box for April. It was a little later than normal, but what was inside made up for it.
This wasn’t a bad box, as I like a majority of the items.
Fresh Pastry Tea towel Set: I don’t really need any more towels, but these are super cute, and I like the catch phrase.
Blueavocado (Eco) Shopper: I love how spacious this bag is. I put in the trunk of my car to use as extra shopper incase I ever need it.
Too Faced Natural Eyes: I was so excited to see this palette. This is one of my favorite palettes, and it was awesome to see it updated with some new colors. My favorite color is Silk Teddy, a shimmery neutral color.
Graphic Image Pocket Notes: This notebook is cute and fits in my purse perfectly.
Caldrea Rosewater Driftwood Hand Soap- This scent is amazing. I probably wouldn’t spend extra money since it’s just soap, but I do like the scent.
Naturebox Popsugar Must have Mix- I’m not really interested in healthy snack mixes, so I’ll probably just pass this off to someone else.
All in all, it was a pretty decent box. If you’re interested in subscribing, please use my link to help me get a free box: http://popsu.gr/stgt!
